For Sale: 1979 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am in Bonner Springs, Kansas for sale in Bonner Springs, KS
Vehicle Description Beautiful Nocturne Blue, completely stripped and repainted by previous owner with base coat/ clear coat and new decals.
Mostly new interior, carpet, seat covers, head liner.
403 Olds completely rebuilt this past summer with 350 turbo transmission.
I was told when I purchased vehicle that it was once part of the Rick Hendrick Collection, but I have no documetation to prove this.
It did come from North Carolina, however.
Paint does have a few small chips down low but still looks fantastic standing next to it.
Trunk, floors, frame, and body are solid.
All exterior lights and signals work however signals in dash do not flash, perhaps just burnt-out bulbs, I'm not removing dash to figure it out.
Heater and A/C nonfunctional but repairable.
Engine rebuilt and installed by my mechanic and all machine work performed by QCKC.
Bored.
030 over and no overheating issues with new large Cold Case aluminum radiator.
Edelbrock Performer intake and cam kit, Edelbrock timing set.
New Street Max exhaust, nice low rumble, not obnoxiously loud.
New at time of rebuild:
Stabilizer bar end links and bushings, front brake calipers, pads, all new flexible brake lines, inner and outer front wheel bearings and races, inner and outer tie rod ends and adjusting sleeve, power steering pump and close ratio gear box, belts, hoses, battery and cables, upper and lower ball joints, brake booster and master cylinder, Powermaster starter, plug wires and distributor, fan clutch, Flowtech ceramic coated long tube headers, Quadrajet caruretor from Carbs Specialists in Georgia, rear axel cover gasket and pinion seal, and front end alignment.
I put new shocks all around prior to all of this.
Handles well, gets down the highway great for a car of this era.
Gets lots of attention everywhere.
I try to drive her once a week weather permitting, does not just sit.
Garage kept.
Don't know if mileage is actual but odometer works.
